The Kerrville hotel’s name comes from the legendary Y.O. Ranch, which once stretched over 600,000 acres of the Texas Hill Country, and Y.O. Ranch Hotel is proud to bear the name and carry on the rich heritage. A Clay Dahlberg bronze “Rough Men in Tough Time” stands in the center of the lobby. 5 large chandeliers with 390 branding irons hanging from them represent the brands from each ranch the cattle were driven through from the tip of Texas to railroads in the panhandle. This is known as the Chisolm Trail.
Y.O. Ranch Hotel is located in Kerrville, Texas, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, only 45 minutes from San Antonio International Airport. Directions from San Antonio, Texas
- Kerrville is approximately 60 miles NW of the San Antonio airport
- Take I–10 West toward El Paso
- Take exit 508. The hotel is south of I-10, approximately 1/2 mile on the left.
Directions from Austin, Texas
- Kerrville is approximately 100 miles west of Austin
- From I–35 exit 230, take US290 West toward Johnson City and Fredericksburg
- At Fredericksburg turn left onto TX-16 south for 22 miles.
- The hotel is south of I-10, approximately 1/2 mile on the left.
