Seminar Activities at Canyon of the Eagles (COTE)
Here are a few of the on-site activies planned for our pleasure
- Vanishing Texas River Cruise - Just down the road from Canyon of the Eagles. Schedule a sunset dinner cruise Saturday, 5:00pm, 10/9. Join your colleagues and their guests to explore up river canyons and Bald Eagle nesting sites. Their 70', 200 passenger vessel has an enclosed all weather area and two observation decks. - Happy Hour - Alcoholic and other beverages and snacks served each evening. Voluntary donations cheerfully accepted, and you may BYOB as well!
- Wine and Cheese Tasting, featuring (local) Fall Creek Vineyards
- A440 Jam Session featuring You
- War Stories - Bring your favorites to this informal evening
- Star Gazing with the resort Observatory and amateur telescope
- The Texas Tool Tradin' Post - Bring your unwanted tools to trade, swap or sell

- 14 miles of nature trails - From lakeside lowlands to wooded ridges 300 feet higher, experience this prime wildlife habitat firsthand.
- Private beach and fishing pier - five miles of Lake Buchanan Adventures shoreline
- Canoe, kayak, sail and paddleboat rentals
- Eagle Eye Observatory- 16-inch Ealing "Educator" Cassegrain Telescope and a classic 12.5-inch Newtonian Telescope
- Longhorn Cavern State Park
- Fall Creek Vinyards
- Llano Chamber of Commerce

- RV & Camping - RV area is an easy walk to the Lodge, and bath house facilities. We are told that tent/car camping is also allowed in the RV area. - Round Rock Premium Outlets - Shop 'til you drop at 125 Outlet Stores
- Ikea Round Rock It's Huge! I-35 between Round Rock and Georgetown
- Austin metro area, taking in Georgetown to the N. and San Marcos to the S. on the IH 35 corridor provides many urban and state history attractions, and within 1 to 2 hr. drive from COTE.
